The 112th State Conference is scheduled for September 20-22 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Bay City. Two Informational Sessions are scheduled for Thursday afternoon: How to get the most impact out of your chapter achievement, and the resources available for growing and mobilizing your chapter membership. We will be celebrating the 225th Anniversary of the Signing of the Constitution with guest speaker, Judge Michael Warren, and the beginning of the 100th year of Crossnore School. Meeting each Michigan Daughter during a chapter visit is a unique experience, and one that is always a pleasure. Please contact me to schedule a date for your chapter.

Has Your Computer Become a Slow-poke?

Does It Balk at Opening Some Programs or Files?

This is a normal result of using your computer and is an expected yet undesirable behavior.  Your computer hardware is probably in good health, but the software can become corrupt through no fault of yours. However there is a cure other than the widely advertised PC Matic @ $49.95 and the doctor bill is zip, nada, zero - FREE.  In fact the cure should be applied routinely just as you would routinely change oil in your automobile.

Kindle and NOOK Ideas

Have a Kindle or Nook Reader?

Load the NSDAR Handbook and Bylaws, the State Directory, and the State News Letters on your Kindle and have instant access wherever you are.  You can also ask your local chapter yearbook chairman for a PDF version of your chapter yearbook and put it on the Kindle as well.  The Kindle will read Adobe PDF files and this will allow you to have DAR information at your finger tips.
